Luxury silk loungewear and lingerie
Introducing Alöe, a unique and exciting luxury silk loungewear label. Elegant, yet sexy, comfortable and yet glamorous, Alöe provides the stylish alternative to traditional loungewear and sleepwear and can be worn both in or outside the home.
Alöe was set up in Feb 2003 and is the creation of designer, Claire Judge, who has taken inspiration from her Anglo-Chinese roots. A strong influence also is the extensive wardrobe of family heirlooms that she has inherited from the Chinese side of her family, made up of tailored and hand embroidered silk garments dating back to the 1930s. This period is captured in the Alöe style.
The launch of Alöe was a great success and the first collection was snapped up by London's leading department stores - Selfridges and Harvey Nichols - and by the prestigious lingerie boutique Coco de Mer.
"There seemed to be a huge gap in the market between traditionally sexy negligee type nightwear & shapeless pyjama type nightwear. I wanted to create a style of loungewear that was versatile, glamorous and hip and which would appeal to the discerning fashion buyer"!
Reminiscent of 1930s French style and fused with an oriental flavour, Alöe creates a completely individual look. As easily worn at home as outside, Alöe is extremely versatile. Each piece stands alone as an individual style or can be matched with another piece to make a set. A wraparound dress can be worn with heels to create a glamorous evening look or a top teamed with jeans for a relaxed, urbane air.
"Sex and The City" stylist Patricia Fields liked the look so much, she bought two sets of pyjamas for Carrie and Charlotte from the very first Alöe collection.
Alöe dresses were also featured at length in the recent "Sex and The City" & "Spiderman 3" movies.
Alöe continues to enjoy much press acclaim and was recently featured on the front cover of 'W' magazine in the US, modelled by Gisele.

Alöe is featured in the Spiderman 3 movie! Kirsty Dunst can be seen wearing the Alöe Martini Robe in one of the opening scenes of the newly released Spiderman 3 movie (as she runs back stage in the theatre and runs to kiss Peter Parker!)
